- Examining Teaching With Purpose book by Dr. Pennick

Science Seminars - Creating and distibuting DVDs of Science Semninars from 2007-2008
2007-2008
- Distributed CDs/DVDs on last year’s science seminars sponsored by the Math & Science Education Center.
- Read and discussed Dr. Penick’s book, Teaching with Purpose.
- Planned and invited Dr. Penick to discuss book, Teaching with Purpose.
- Wrote a proposal to present at the NSTA conference in October in Charlotte, NC. This is the regional conference. Our proposal is on the partnership and the inner workings of it.
- Networked via Kay Campany with the new happenings of DPI, i.e. curriculum, standards, evaluations of honors programs, etc
2006-2007
- Discussed/ helped plan future science seminars in conjunction with math & Science Center.
- Coordinated summer workshops in conjunction with Bio-Rad and Carolina Biological.
- Attended the Evolution series science seminars.
- Visited different science classes and obtain ideas for student made resources.
- Shared pertinent information about various workshops through destiny bus and other initiatives.
- Our group also served as a support group for members sharing ideas, resources, and encouragement.
